Kiddos

Drew 27 mos; Owen 8 mos; Hayden 17 mos
(they're all just about 10 months apart!)

Yesterday (sunday july 26th) we went over to Tim & Sarah & Drew's new house for a bbq. Jessie, Ben & baby Owen also joined us! Trying to get a photo of all the babies is near impossible!! :) Especially when Hayden is trying to give everyone kisses! ;) Cute kiddos!

Lil Monkey!

Hayden really likes to take bubble baths! We say "let's go play with bubbles in the tub" and she flies up the stairs, stripping off her clothes and tries to climb in! :) She can't quite make it all the way in yet, but get's an A for effort!

Playdate!

On Monday, Hayden & I met Emilie & Ilse (friends I met on an online parenting board) at the park to play! The girls did really well together, even if Hayden didn't want to share her toys! :) They happily played on the slide and big toys! Although you can't tell from the pictures, it was SO stinkin' hot and muggy! The girls - and their mommies :) - were wiped out by the end of the day! Next time, we'll have to find more shade!

Slide!

Last one today, I promise!! ;)

My little brother Shawn gave Hayden his old slide. You can hook up the garden hose to it and it becomes a water slide, but Hayden could care less about that feature! ;) Once we showed her how to get up and then go down it, she has been on a roll. She ~~LOVES~~ this slide! In fact, this same night, when it was time to go have a bath and go nite-nite, she threw the hugest tantrum we've seen yet! Kicking, arms-flailing, yelling and screaming "side" (aka slide). She screamed through her entire bath and finally calmed down to read her books before bed! Who knew a hand-me-down slide would be so cool! :)

Randomness....

Just a random update and some cute pictures! :) Hayden is 16 1/2 months old and such a little independent person. She has to help or do stuff by herself a lot now...which is pretty frustrating for mommy & daddy! She says new words everyday and at last count, she can say 45 words!! And most are said well enough that a stranger could understand! She also has almost all her baby teeth (only have 2 yr molars left). I can't wait to get a reprieve from teething! She weighs about 23 pounds and is starting to outgrow her 18 month clothes. She thoroughly enjoys spending time outside (playing in the dirt mostly!) so we're happy for all this nice weather we've had lately! Happy Summer everyone!
We obviously talk on the phone too much, since our little mimic picks up our cell phones, puts them to her ear and says "hay-o" then babbles. When these pictures were taken, I asked who she was talking to and she said "gampa" who is Grandpa Neal- her favorite person lately! Too cute!

We really like to feed Mijo his kibbles by hand. Sadly, a few have been eaten by Hayden as well! :)

We must do as mommy and daddy do, so since we like to dip our nuggets in bbq sauce, so must our mimic. She sucks all the sauce off then eats the nugget! ;)

ZOO!!

With Neal & Angela in town for the weekend, we all headed to the zoo Saturday morning! It was sorta cold and cloudy, but ended up getting nice & hot! Hayden loved the aquarium and all the "fishies". They also have a new area called the "budgie buddies" where you can go inside a huge bird cage and feed them a stick of seeds. Hayden LOVED it...although she kept trying to grab the little birdies with her other hand! :) And the poor girl was so confused with the walrus'. She first called them dogs, then decided they were a fishy and then just looked confused!! ;) As they would skim the glass in the underwater viewing area, she'd say "weeeee"! We left a little later than nap time and she crashed in the car before we even hit the freeway home!

Lakefair Parade

Watching the rollercoaster with Grandpa ("gampa")

Her new stroller trick!

Watching the parade

Pointing at the horses with grandma- "sheshe's"

The Lakefair parade was Saturday evening and we thought Hayden would like to see it! She LOVED the "sheshe's" (horseys) and the pretty princesses. She was trying to wave like the princesses! ;) We had dinner there (yum! hand dipped corndogs are my FAV!!) and watched a few rides before heading home. Hayden was fascinated by one of the kiddy rollercoasters, but she's still a little too small to ride any. It was a beautiful evening and we had a lot of fun!

Busy Holiday Weekend!

For the holiday weekend, we headed over to Spokane/Coeur D'Alene! We left Thursday afternoon and arrived at Jeremy's parent's house early enough for dinner and for Hayden to get a bath and go to bed on time. Friday morning, Jeremy went golfing at Circling Raven with some friends while the rest of us got all packed up to head out to Lake Coeur D'Alene. Hayden was very anxious to get out to the lake!
Grandma & Hayden ready to go!

See ya later!

"Let's go guys!!"

Playing out on the deck at the lake

Once Daddy got done with golfing...He & Hayden launched the waverunner!
She wasn't so sure about the four wheeler ride
Down at the beach, she thoroughly enjoyed the sand...especially licking it off her shovel!

Grandpa & Grandma's New Boat!

Saturday was a hot one (90*+) and we spent most the day down at the beach playing in the sand and water, as well as on the boat and waverunner.

Before all the other kids came out to play! :)

Silly

After a long day playing at the beach, we had to clean up for dinner. This was outfit #3 for the day! She loved hanging "owside" playing on the deck in the shade!

Tim had a bunch of hunting magazines and Hayden loved them for some odd reason. She would bring them to anyone willing to read to her. She'd point to any of the animals in the pictures and say "nite-nite"! We didn't have the heart to tell her that they weren't really sleeping! ;)

Sunday was a little cooler and while most people packed up and headed home early, we were lucky enough to hang out until late afternoon. We went for another boat ride before pulling all the toys out of the water and heading back to town.

Our little family! Hayden isn't a big fan of life jackets!! :)

Sunday night, we watched an AWESOME thunder & lightning storm come through the Spokane Valley and had a nice relaxing evening. We figured we'd avoid a lot of the traffic by leaving on monday instead of sunday night. And we were right...we heard traffic was terrible going over snoqualmie pass on sunday with all the holiday travelers! We left Monday at nap time and made it home in only 5 1/2 hours. We had a great holiday, even if we're all completely exhausted! (Hayden is teething her last two teeth until her two-year-old molars -- so we're not getting as much sleep as we normally do!)
