wow I suck at this blogging thing...

Okay- 1st thing to get out of the way before I forget!!! :) I'm a creative team member for Roseytoes Designs & She ROCKS!!!  Anyone who may read this & is a scrapbooker- DONT MISS out on this opportunity to work with her goodies!

Alrighty, since that business is out of the way- I want to apologize for sucking so much at this blog. It's strange because you'd think me not working would mean I'd have all the time in the world to manage my blog & digital scrapbooking responsibilities on top of taking care of the kiddos- but seriously! This stay at home mom gig is HARD work!! :)

Declan is 9 months old!!

Declan is 9 months old!!!  I cannot believe how fast my baby is growing up! :(

His stats at his checkup: 21.5 pounds & 28.5 inches (both 75%ile)

He's just growing out of his 12 month clothes & in shoe size 5!! 

He has 5 teeth (E,F,G,O,P) with a few more on the way!

He's such a MONSTER!

This lil guy is ALL BOY! He is constantly in motion. He NEVER stops moving, even to sleep unless you hold him tight until he gives up & crashes.  It was pretty difficult getting 9 month pictures, since he wanted to be on the move the entire time!  He crawls at record speeds & cruises along furniture, walls, etc like a pro. It's just a matter of time before he's running around!  He's a brut- when he wants to get somewhere, he'll roll/push/shove/squirm to get where he wants (even if he's up in your arms!)  He's very adventurous- with little fear. He loves to be thrown around & climbs stairs/step stools like it's nothing. He opens cupboards & drawers & pulls everything out to be inspected! 

He LOVES his sissy & bee-lines it to her room to play with her toys.  EVERYTHING instantly is in his mouth & he likes to suck on unconventional pacifiers- sissy's squinkie's, marbles, toothbrushes, etc.  He LOVES bath time. The minute the tub starts running, he's at the edge of the tub trying to crawl in. He loves playing with the toilet paper & the toilet lid- we've learned to keep the lid down at all times! :)

 

He's not saying too much, mostly just baby babbles, but I figure he's just working on so many physical things first! He makes this silly scrunched up face & snorts which is hilarious & loves to smile & laugh!

He loves to eat! He has 4-5 8oz bottles of formula a day (stopped nursing at ~ 7 1/2 mos. so he'd sleep longer at night...that's a whole other issue!) plus meals/snacks with us. He LOVES real food and doesn't really eat much puree'd baby food. He only likes the 3rd foods with textures & prefers veggies over fruits!  His favorite foods are cheerios, goldfish crackers, bread/toast (we eat Dave's Killer Bread with all the nuts/seeds & he doesn't seem to mind one bit!), banana, avocado, oatmeal, spaghetti & mac n cheese. 

As far as sleep goes, he's doing better, but I can count the times he's sleep completely through the night on one hand. :(  First, we moved, then he had a cold, then teething, then we started formula (which did help!), then teething, then the flu, then teething & now another head cold. It's always something!  Most nights he'll go down at 7:30, up at 11 to be snuggled, then he'll make it until 2 or 3am have a bottle & then down until 7 or 8 am. I've just figured I'll get sleep when the kids are teenagers & I'll complain about them never waking up! ;) 

Declan is by far 100% opposite of his big sister as a baby & SOOO much fun! He makes me smile everyday & I'll take all the sleepless nights in the world for that!

Wow what a terrible blogger I've been!  We've been super busy between Jeremy finally moving over to Spokane to join the rest of us here, Hayden's preschool & dance christmas recitals & now a flu bug has just made it's way through this household! :) Plus, throw in some holiday festivities & all the hoop-la that goes along with that & I'm one tired mama! 

SO- I need to post some scrapbooking layouts, along with all the videos of hayden's cuteness...  Here goes:

Hayden just started this dance class (she goes once a week for an hour). She does tap/ballet/tumbling & loves it!!  Most of the other girls have been in the class for a while now, so she was a lil behind. Cute nonetheless!

Hayden's Preschool had a little Christmas party for parents to attend. They sang us a few carols & gave us their homemade presents: A handprint ornament & projects. SO cute! Of course Hayden is the loudest one & only one singing half the time. My buggy loves to sing!! :)

I've been so busy lately that I haven't even scrapbooked much either! AND, my card making is WAY behind. Such is life....

Declan Update

I've been meaning to put these up for awhile...For you Mom!! ;)  Here's just a sampling of how busy my life is lately! Decs is officially everywhere & his favorite spot to play/climb is this side table!  He also really enjoys the dog food dish & sneaking away to Sissy Hayden's bedroom (where she keeps the toys he can't have...but REALLY wants!)  He's a monster, just shy of 21 lbs, so he's like wrestling an alligator when you dress him, change his diaper, or are trying to get him away from something he really wants!  Hayden was NEVER as busy & ALWAYS going as he is- which scares the daylights outta me! However, he just started giving kisses, so one of those makes up for all his shenanigans! ;)

He's DEFINITELY a mommys boy, which is probably attributed to the fact that I just stopped nursing him (he's sleeping WAY better on formula = much happier momma!)  We try really hard to get him to finish his bottles during the day (way too busy & easily distracted to eat!) so that we can all get some rest at night. Lately, he'll eat & go to bed around 7:30pm and make it until 6am to eat again- although he wakes once or twice around 10/11pm to be snuggled back to sleep.  He's getting way more vocal- lots of baby babbles! He is a great eater when it comes to real food- he loves cheerios & puffs as well as the baby mum-mum crackers. As far as pureed food- he pretty much eats everything. He wasn't a big fan of applesauce, but loves green beans!!  I think that we got the picky eater with big sissy & he'll probably eat us out of house & home (oh wait...we're crashing at the in-laws...he'll eat them out of their house!!! LOL!!!)  ;)  He's growing like mad & in 12 month clothes (he's ALMOST 8 months old), size 4 shoes & size 3 diapers.  And, without further adoo....here's our busy busy busy boy! :)

Be warned: poor guy falls & bonks his head at the end of this one! He was just fine afterwards! :) Hazards of learing to stand!

There just aren't enough hours in the day! It's been an adjustment becoming a stay-at-home-looking-for-a-job-mother. I think one of these days, we'll figure out more of a structure to our day so I can get some of my stuff done (besides dishes, laundry, playing with kids = always picking up after kids). :)  Anywho...I've been able to keep up on my scrapbooking so here's some of the pages that have been released by the designers I create for:

Digital Scrapbooking Day was first established by Triscape, Inc. in 2007 to create awareness for digital scrapbooking – not only as a creative way to document and display memories, but also as a means to archive photos and memorabilia safely digitally. Digital Scrapbooking Day (DSD), celebrated internationally the first Saturday of each November, is intended to act as a catalyst to set aside some time at least annually to digitally documenting your personal history.

As a member of two WONDERFUL digital scrapbooking designer's creative teams, I have A LOT to tell you about- AND have been a very busy lil bee scrapping up my memories! ;)

I also am a member of Jen C Design's Creative team! Jen has some great stuff for Digital Scrapbooking Day as well!  I LOVE her templates & have already had too much fun with them!

I used one of the Big Shot Templates to scrap a miraculous picture: BOTH KIDS SMILING!!! They aren't necessarily looking at the camera (they were looking at my zebra costume ears!) but, looking in the general direction of the camera counts! :)

This layout I used one of the Blends Vol2 templates- I love these templates- so fun & looks hard to accomplish, but with templates, the blends are already a seperate layer, just clip your photo & your done!  With both layouts, I used "Happy Boo" also by Jen C Designs.

Lastly, Jen also has some template sets for calendars. Making your own calendars seems all the rage as of late & these templates make it even easier! These are in the STORE now for only $3!

I used the "Divalicious" kit by Jen C Designs & Calendar Templates set 2 for my layout. I also didn't make mine a calendar- just to prove the versatility of templates! You can totally make them your own! :)
